I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor who is committed to helping people create a life that is meaningful for them. My focus is on helping clients discover their authentic self and to replace unhelpful behaviors that no longer serve them. I work to help adults, and families learn skills needed to improve communication, manage anxiety, overcome depression, and implement new ways of managing stress rather than turning to harmful coping strategies. I am extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and often incorporate a DBT-informed approach. I have specialized DBT training designed to meet the unique needs of adolescents and families and enjoy working with parents and teens/children to increase understanding and improve communication. I offer an eclectic approach to therapy that allows for us to work together in a way that best meets your needs. Recently I have begun incorporating EMDR into sessions and am working to increase my knowledge of various therapeutic tools.
